The VPL Story

Villa Park Family Legacy

With dedication, integrity, and a little sweat equity, Javier Reyes, Sr. built a lasting legacy for his family and a thriving business for his community.

Javier Reyes, Sr. found his calling in the landscaping industry in the late 1970’s. Recognizing the need for more comprehensive services — from landscape design to water management — he opened Villa Park Landscape in 1986.

Villa Park Landscape came from humble beginnings — but it was always a family business.

Javier and early team members instilled family values into the company right from the start — creating open partnerships with both employees and clients. This family-driven ethos shaped our approach to business while fostering lasting client relationships built on trust.

Our family legacy extends beyond the Reyes family.

Bianca, Valerie, and Junior were immersed in the business from a young age, running around on the first office’s dirt driveways between filing and hole punching. As they grew up, they took on larger tasks and earned degrees that would benefit the family business. With degrees in landscape architecture, plant science, and horticulture their vision was always on joining the company and ensuring its continued success.

Now, they all work alongside their father, who serves as president and general manager.

Our continued commitment to enhancing landscapes where you live, work, and play.

Now, the three siblings help Javier continue to carry on the strong relationships he built over the years.

With over 400 clients served, Villa Park Landscape has grown steadily while maintaining its family values. Our approach ensures that each client receives the same high level of craftsmanship and personalized service that has defined us since day one. We see a future where our clients continue to benefit from our deep-rooted values and enduring relationships.
